We specialize in straw bale homes; sacred architecture; sculptural, artistic, and sustainable homes; and all types of green building and remodel. Very hands on and client attentive. I know that money is not the most important aspect of building creatively and with integrity, nor should it be the driving factor.
When it comes to building in Boulder County, I have to say that I am way impressed. Sure there are some parts about their processes that may seem tough. But to me it’s like a game. Once you know the rules, you simply follow them. For us it’s fun to know what they expect, to personally get to know the inspectors (there are only 4 or 5 of them), and to have a good time with them. It’s a challenge to pass every inspection on the first try. We have fun making the attempt, and we usually succeed. You either are good at and like what you do being a builder in this county, or you are not and do not.
What sets our company apart from our competitors is my crew, who are passionate about what they do. To them, it’s not just a job; it’s what they love doing. They foster a team environment and keep an open mind. Every member of the team, including the customer, is engaged to find the best solution.
Leaf describes his crew as “a happy group with an outstanding and positive work ethic.”
